The Old World Swallowtail or Common yellow Swallowtail has become a regular visitor of the finca.  This striking butterfly collects the nectar of thistles that grow abundantly around the house at this time of the year. This swallowtail, or subspecies of this butterfly, is protected by law in various countries.
